NARIEL CREEK TREE PLANTING DAY

“TREES FOR TROUT”

VOLUNTEER TREE PLANTERS WANTED FOR NARIEL CREEK ON SATURDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER 2019

Another “Trees for Trout” day is looming – Saturday 14th September at Nariel Creek, Corryong.

We are appealing to all conservation minded recreational anglers and clubs; the more volunteers the better, because the target is to plant 1,000 trees along the banks of Nariel Creek opposite the Nariel Folk Festival Ground. This will complement the already completed installation of snags and boulder seeding over a 300m stretch of this iconic creek.

All are welcome and families are guaranteed a lot of fun with giveaways for the younger tree planters. Come along and join in the fun with the Corryong Angling Club, Australian Trout Foundation, North East Catchment Authority, other angling clubs, anglers and Landcare.

Date for the Nariel Planting day: Saturday 14th September.
Start Time: 9.00am to 9.30am
Meeting Place: Colac Colac Bridge (Wodonga side), Murray Valley Highway, Corryong.

BBQ Lunch provided; volunteers please register for catering purposes.
Bring: warm & sun smart clothing, and a little baby shovel if you have one – not compulsory.
